The Ultimate game and console for this year (2006) has to go to the XBOX 360 and Gears Of War, it's "the best game ever" says gamestop. None of us deserve to get shot for a PS3. It's not like it's worth it anyway. I know some people desire to kill me right now for giving XBOX props, especially the PS3 fan boys. They are abusively out of hand, as well as the blu-ray ordeal, if you ask me.
Now you tell me, what regular Joe with 600 dollars in his wallet, hoping for the ultimate gaming console, is going to know how blu-ray actually operates? People want gaming consoles and great games, not great consoles and games that are trash. Most people purchased the PS3 console to turn around and sell it for 6 times the price at which they paid for it. I have seen a couple go for three thousand plus with my own eyes. It has reached the point to where ebay has a section just for PS3 selling rules.
If you think that's bad, try getting shot for not giving up your PS3 money, as one innocent man did when approached outside of Wal-Mart in Putnam, Connecticut. But that's totally off topic, what really matters is that the XBOX 360 has so far proven itself as a great overall console besides having to format your movies into MP4, just to have them play, but who cares it plays games just fine. It's serving its real purpose and Gears Of War just allows it to show it's stuff. With a hard drive on board you can say good bye to keeping up with memory cards, I couldn't wait for them to go myself.
Aside from the baleful behavior of Sony fans, Gears of War is a very compelling game even though it didn't win ‘game of the year’. The game play is furious, even if you play it with your kitchen T.V. I promise you, you'll think you're the one holding the machine gun, zipping around shredding people with a chain-saw. All they have to do is fix the multiplayer function from going to the scoreboard after every kill in one-on-one matches. If they compile a new game with that fixed, then they will take the award for 2007.
